Welcome and thank you for visiting my website to learn about some of the exciting things happening in Shelby County, Kentucky, and some of the innovative ideas our county government has developed.

Just as in my first term as judge-executive, I want to assure everyone that county government will continue:

  • to be accountable to you, the taxpayer,
  • to deliver services according to need instead of favoritism, and
  • to maintain open, two-way lines of communications.

Yet, as we all know, our county is growing and facing new changes. I heard your concerns, questions and suggestions during the campaign.  Therefore, during the next four years, my goals for our county include:

  • maintaining strong economic growth and managed residential growth, without increasing your taxes;
  • continuing to work on the county's first-ever comprehensive road plan, making travel safer for everyone;
  • building a new public safety facility for the 911 Call Center, EMS, Sheriff's Dept. and Emergency Management to provide better coordination and to increase efficiency; and
  • developing a new senior-citizen center to meet the aging baby-boomers' needs.

Please know that your questions and suggestions are always welcome.  Only by working together to achieve these and other goals, we will ensure that our county government services continue to meet the high quality that we have all come to expect.

Together we can continue to make Shelby County the role model for – and the envy of – Kentucky.
